I came to Anita in search of covers that truly represented my work. I had a concept in mind, but I didn’t really know how I wanted it executed. I pretty much just dumped a bunch of information on poor Anita (“I like this” and “I don’t like that” sort of stuff). She actually took the time to review all my information AND read my books! Why my business relationship with Anita Carroll works for me?  Trust.  It is as simple as that and here is why.  I know what I am.  I am a writer.  I know what I am not.  I am not a graphic designer.  Tried to be – it did not work.  My covers were not only amateurish to say the least but, they had no emotion to back them.  When Anita sent me a brief email introducing herself to me, I was a skeptic at first.  Yet, the moment I viewed her work, I felt an emotion.  Her designs were beautiful and clean.  I could not wait to see what she would come up with for my fifth novel.   Her first pass on the book cover design for Kelly and the Angel was far beyond my expectations.  My approval was a resounding YES. Then, she did the unthinkable.  She went in a completely different direction, and sent me another design.  Because I trusted her and even though every pore in me screamed NO! Anita designed me a cover for my as yet uncompleted detective/political thriller ‘Dexxman’ which I hope to release before January 2014. I think it is brilliant, and it reflects my story down to the ground particularly the faint impression of the CIA seal at the bottom of the picture.
